Pitt Big Band Festival 2018

Pitt’s Jazz Ensemble will host the Annual Big Band Festival Bands from local middle and high schools along with ensembles from Duquesne and Carnegie Mellon Universities will be performing.

This year’s festival will feature adjudication by international acclaimed composer, conductor and bassist Noriko Ueda. Ueda will give feedback to each of the performing ensembles, conduct the Pitt Jazz Ensemble in one of her own compositions and will perform with them as a soloist.

9 a.m. – noon (20 minutes of prepared music and 15 minutes of adjudication)

1-4 p.m. (30 minutes of prepared music and 15 minutes of adjudication)
