Faculty and staff who are members of UPMC Health Plan can get their annual flu shot at the Petersen Events Center on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Advance registration via the Office of Human Resource’s website is required to attend a flu shot clinic on the Pittsburgh campus; the form allows you to select a date and time slot for your appointment.

Mark Burdsall, assistant vice chancellor of consulting services, attended the clinic that took place on Wednesday, Sept. 30. He reported the overall experience to be efficient. When he arrived at his scheduled time, he said he was welcomed, had his temperature taken, received instructions and his flu shot—all without having to wait in line.

“I have received the flu shot each year I have worked at Pitt. I am grateful to the University for providing me an easy way to receive the flu shot regularly each year,” said Burdsall. “I encourage others at the University to consider getting their flu shots by registering for the flu shot clinic at the Pete.”

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will also host a flu shot clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held in the Frame-Westerberg Commons Mukaiyama University Room; advance registration is required.

Important note: If you are currently working off-campus and are planning to travel to campus for the flu shot clinic, you are required to fill out the Daily COVID-19 Health Check prior to coming to campus on the day of your appointment. The Daily COVID-19 Health Check is also available when logging in to my.pitt.edu or from the Pitt Mobile app.

Visit the Office of Human Resources’ website for general information regarding flu shot clinics on and off campus.
