8 Pitt people made the New Pittsburgh Courier 40 Under 40 list

Eight University of Pittsburgh affiliates were named to the New Pittsburgh Courier’s Fab 40 Under 40 list for 2026. Each year, the publication honors young African American professionals across the region.

This year’s honorees include:

• Brandin Adams (UPG '18)
• Jason Deakings, assistant professor in the School of Public Health
• Dontez Ford (BUS '16, '19G)
• Monique Hamlett (A&S '10)
• Donovan Harrell, communications specialist in the Office of University Communications and Marketing
• Justin James, major gifts officer in the School of Business
• Sean Spencer (BUS '23G)
• Jasmine Thompson (EDUC '19)
