Lauren DelSignore, director of dean’s executive operations at Pitt’s David C. Frederick Honors College, was named the 2026 recipient of the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) Award for Administrative Excellence.

The award celebrates the administrative professionals who keep the country’s honors programs running, with winners chosen from a national pool of nominations.

Since joining Pitt in 2015, DelSignore has expanded her role into one that anchors the day-to-day operations of the Frederick Honors College. Through her leadership of the school’s Leveling the Playing Field initiative, student can access an emergency fund, a food pantry, a Brain Food station and an interview closet — all designed to remove financial and logistical barriers.

DelSignore was also a driving force behind the launch of the first Frederick Honors College extension at Pitt-Greensburg in 2024, and she is continuing to build out partnerships with the University’s Johnstown and Bradford campuses.

Beyond Pitt, she serves as secretary of the Mid-East Honors Association and was named the Northeast Regional Honors Council Staff Member of the Year in 2025. She’ll be formally recognized at the NCHC’s 2026 Annual Conference.
