11 PA high school graduates finished a MAC at Pitt-Titusville training program

The Swanson School of Engineering Manufacturing Assistance Center (MAC) at Pitt-Titusville proudly recognizes a new cohort of graduates from the Penncrest School District who have successfully completed the center’s intensive, hands‑on machining and CNC training program. This achievement marks a significant milestone in regional workforce development and highlights the growing pipeline of skilled talent entering high‑demand manufacturing careers across Northwestern Pennsylvania.

The graduating students include Ayden Gates, Coltan Urquhart, Dominic Paden, Connor Owen, Noah Shoop, Adien Davis, Jerome Ishman, Maddex Coffey, Kohlton Perry, Garrett Brucker and Zeddicus Worst. Each student completed comprehensive instruction in manual machining, CNC operation, precision measurement, shop safety and industry‑standard manufacturing practices.

“The MAC curriculum is designed to provide students with both foundational knowledge and applied technical skills that align with current employer needs,” said Melanie LaLone, workforce readiness and recruitment coordinator. “The program’s emphasis on experiential learning ensures that graduates are prepared to transition directly into the workforce.”

Early employment outcomes reflect this success. Garrett Brucker has accepted an offer from Leech Industries, while Jerome Ishman has accepted a position with Corry Manufacturing. Additional employment offers for other graduates are currently pending, underscoring the strong demand for skilled machinists and CNC operators in the region.

“This is what opportunity looks like, and I’m excited to see what these graduates accomplish,” said Evan Tanner, MAC instructor, emphasizing the importance of accessible technical training pathways for young adults.

The MAC continues to partner with regional school districts, employers and community organizations to expand career readiness and strengthen the local manufacturing workforce.
