Multiple Pitt campuses again earned Military Friendly recognition

Pitt campuses have once again been recognized for their support of active military and veteran students — and their families.

The University’s Pittsburgh and Bradford campuses have both been recognized as gold-level Military Friendly institutions in addition to earning Military Spouse Friendly nods for the 2026-27 academic year.

The acknowledgement from Viqtory Media affirms efforts at both campuses toward embracing military students and their families and dedicating resources to ensure their success.

The Military Spouse Friendly schools designation specifically helps military spouses select schools that will support then in their education journey by meeting unique needs as part of a military family.

This year marks the 16th consecutive year Pitt-Bradford has appeared on the Military Friendly Schools list.

“The Military Friendly School designation is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of many different offices and people at Pitt-Bradford who actively help members of the reserves and returning veterans and their dependents to be successful in their pursuit of higher education,” said James Baldwin, vice president of enrollment management at Pitt-Bradford.

The Military Friendly Schools list aims to provide a comprehensive guide for veterans and their families using data sources from federal agencies and proprietary survey information from participating organizations.

Pitt-Bradford was also recognized by Military Times late last year as a Best for Vets College. It’s the third year in a row the regional campus has made that list.
