Pitt improved its rank on the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact list

The University of Pittsburgh was again named to Times Higher Education’s Sustainability Impact Rankings, improving its position on the 2026 list, released on June 23.

The publication’s list is the only global ranking that measures how institutions advance sustainability in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which include areas like affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, and quality education.

Among the 1,600-plus universities from 116 countries and territories included in the list, Pitt was ranked 301-400 overall. The University took its highest scores in three SDG categories: good health and well-being; clean water and sanitation; and industry, innovation and infrastructure.
