Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Join the United Way's Free Tax Preparation Coalition and make a difference in the lives of individuals and families this tax season.
The team is seeking volunteer tax preparers and greeters to help provide its free services to those in need. No prior experience is necessary, and free training is provided to equip you with the skills and confidence you need. Last year, volunteers helped save taxpayers more than $2.5 million in fees and generated $13.2 million in refunds.
Volunteering is convenient and a short-term commitment can make a huge impact. You can work just one three-hour shift per week at any of 23 locations across Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. The United Way is also seeking bilingual volunteers to assist Spanish-speaking individuals.
Continuing education credits are also available for volunteers.
