Call for Proposals: 2021 Diversity Forum

A gate in the cathedral of learning

The aim of the 2021 Diversity Forum, Dismantling Oppressive Systems: Building Just Communities, is to engage and equip participants with the knowledge, skills and resources to identify sources of systemic oppression; consider strategies for dismantling that oppression; and inspire actions critical in fostering more equitable and just communities in which we live, work and learn.

The organizers welcome all members of the Pitt community and community at-large to submit virtual workshop proposals for the 2021 forum, to be held July 26-29.

Workshop proposal guidelines:

  • Workshops should be formatted for virtual presentation.
  • Workshops should run for 60-75 minutes, including Q&A.
  • Workshop proposals should align with the forum's aim and objectives as detailed above.

Workshops will be categorized to assist participants in meeting their learning and growth goals.

The deadline to submit workshop proposals is Friday, May 14, 2021. Email questions for the forum.
