A Conversation With Former President of World Bank Robert B. Zoellick

On April 7 at 7 p.m., Chancellor Emeritus Mark A. Nordenberg will hold a live-streamed conversation titled "America in the World: A History of U.S. Diplomacy and Foreign Policy" with Robert B. Zoellick as a part of The American Experience Distinguished Speaker Series.

Zoellick has built a distinguished career that includes service a deputy secretary, under secretary and counselor in the State Department; ambassador and U.S. trade representative; counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury; deputy chief of staff at the White House; and president of the World Bank. His recently published book, "America in the World: A History of U.S. Diplomacy and Foreign Policy," is an ambitious and impressive work. It follows the sweep of American diplomatic history from Benjamin Franklin through the 20th century and identifies five traditions that have emerged from this nation’s encounters with the world.
