Faculty and staff required to make annual conflict of interest and/or commitment disclosures are asked to complete them by July 15, 2020, using the University’s new MyDisclosures system. The roll out of the new online system was paused due to COVID-19-related activity ramp-down, but has restarted and is now accepting the submissions.
Keep an eye on your inbox for emails from MyDisclosures@pitt.edu. Those required to disclose will receive a direct link to their form from the system.
You also can visit the Conflict of Interest website for general information, training opportunities and answers to FAQs.
2019 and 2020 disclosure details and deadlines
- 2019 disclosures will continue to be accepted as valid for grant submission until July 15.
- Starting July 15, 2020, only 2020 annual disclosures submitted through MyDisclosures will be acceptable and valid for grant submissions.
- DO NOT submit your annual disclosure in MyDisclosures until you receive an email from MyDisclosures@pitt.edu with a link to your form instructing you that it is time to do so.
- If you completed a 2020 COI disclosure form in the COI SuperForm system, you must complete a new form in MyDisclosures. (It is not feasible to import information from the COI SuperForm system into the new system.)
MyDisclosures, the University’s new system for online reporting and review of conflicts creates a standardized process for reporting and reviewing conflicts, and replaces Pitt’s previous paper-based system. The new platform should be easier to understand and use and conforms with the University’s conflict-related polices, as well as federal funding requirements.
