Staff Council Survey Open Through June 11

Responsibility creep, or job creep, is defined as a situation in which an employee takes on an increasing number of duties, thereby causing the original job responsibilities to morph into a more complex position without receiving a promotion or additional compensation for these increased responsibilities.

Staff Council at Pitt is working to assess and address how job creep has impacted employees both before and since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The survey aims to analyze what staff members who are not covered by a collective bargaining agreement are being tasked with and evaluate how Staff Council can advocate on behalf of the staff at the University. This survey is voluntary, anonymous and any questions can be skipped. Any personal identifiers will be redacted when the data is organized, analyzed and shared beyond Staff Council. The survey will remain open until 11:59 pm on Friday, June 11, 2021.
