In Celebration of MLK: Social Justice Symposium

January 18, 2018 - 9:00am to 3:00pm

Social Justice Symposium: Celebrating the Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.

"Creating a Just Community Across the Ages.”
Sponsored by the Office of Cultural and Leadership Development.

Each year the Office of Cultural and Leadership Development honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by hosting a Social Justice Symposium. This year’s theme is “Creating a Just Community Across the Ages.”

There is the potential of having five generations in the workplace at the same time. While you may, or may not be familiar with their different names the symposium will take an in-depth look at understanding how each generation thinks, their work ethics, and how working together can create a healthy inclusive environment for faculty and staff.

Breakfast will be served at 8:30 am in the William Pitt Union Ballroom and the session starts promptly at 9:00 am in the William Pitt Union Assembly Room. Lunch will be at 1:00 pm in the Ballroom.

The day will be filled with fun creative ways for participants to be educated about generations and learn from one another. To RSVP, visit the symposium website. This year’s symposium is for faculty and staff only.
