123 Batik Workshop
Facilitated by Mike Campbell, Center for Creativity
This technique workshop focuses on ways in which you can batik fabric using everyday materials and stenciling to produce a finished piece. With fabric from the C4C supply (or you may bring along your own), use tape, glue and salt to develop resists, and create dye out of acrylic media. We'll also skim some basic concepts of color theory and elements of design to assist in the creation of a fully fleshed out batik work.
No prior visual art experience is required and amateurs and beginners welcome! All materials and supplies are provided.
Questions, email creative@pitt.edu. This workshop is free and open to all Pitt students, faculty and staff.
