In this special talk titled, "A New Strategy for U.S. Health and Healthcare", Jeffrey Sachs, University Professor at Columbia University, will discuss a practical pathway to reforming U.S. healthcare and public health with aims of reducing disease, increasing longevity, and substantially cutting health care costs.
Jeffrey Sachs is one of the world's leading experts in economic growth and public health. He is a New York Times best-selling author and is a frequent contributor to major publications such as the Financial Times of London, the International Herald Tribune, Scientific American and Time magazine. Sachs is the Director of The Earth Institute, Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University. He is Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on the Millennium Development Goals.
The event will be moderated by CB Bhattacharya, H. J. Zoffer Chair of Sustainability and Ethics at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
