Philips Grand Challenge Information Session

August 16, 2017 - 4:00pm

The University of Pittsburgh Innovation Institute and Philips present a brand-new opportunity for faculty whose research touches on sleep or respiratory problems with the Philips Grand Challenge.

Philips has more than 40 years of leadership in sleep technology, sleep apnea management, oxygen therapy, noninvasive ventilation and respiratory drug delivery. Philips is interested in supporting Pitt investigators’ translational-ready research to help people sleep, breath, and perform better.

Three awards of $60,000, $30,000 and $10,000 will be made to provide:

  • Seed funding to reduce technical and market risk associated with the innovation, moving it closer to market
  • Enhanced connections to resources on campus, in the region and beyond to aid in advancing the potential commercialization of the discovery
