Special Event: Center for Creativity Open Mic Night

July 26, 2017 - 5:30pm to 7:00pm

The Center for Creativity Open Mic Night is a chance for performers of all kinds – writers, musicians, comics, storytellers, and others – to meet and mingle while showcasing their skills. All levels and styles are welcome! Whether you have experience performing in public, or you’re a first-timer in search of a supportive and enthusiastic audience, the C4C Open Mic is for you.

Important Info

  • Sign up is on a first-come, first-served basis and begins at 5:15 pm.
  • Performance slots are 8-10 minutes each.
  • All performance genres are welcome: poetry or prose, music (original or covers), comedy, performance art, storytelling, monologues, magic…. If you can do it in public, you can sign up for a slot.
  • We love solo and group performances! If you perform as part of a small group (2-4 people), we will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability, given available tech and space.

How It Works

  • We run the show by list: performers sign up for a slot, and the performance follows that order.
  • There are 8 guaranteed time slots, with a couple of “if time allows” slots at the end (in case previous performers take less than their allotted time).
  • Your performance slot includes setup time, so it’s a good idea to keep it simple!
