From the University Times: Recipients of the Chancellor's Distinguished Awards all received letters from Chancellor Patrick Gallagher and will be awarded a $2,000 cash prize and a grant of $3,000 to support the recipient’s teaching, research or public service activities.

The 15 Pitt recipients of the prestigious U.S. Fulbright Scholarship for 2020 are the most ever in the University of Pittsburgh’s history. For the 10th time in 11 years, Pitt was also named a top producing institution of Fulbright students.

The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid has announced the test optional policy for fall 2021 admission has been expanded to first-year applicants in all programs, majors, schools and colleges on the Pittsburgh campus, with the exception of the School of Nursing.

Diagnosing a heart attack can be difficult, especially for prehospital emergency personnel. Using computer modeling, a team led by nursing’s Salah Al-Zaiti identified 37% more heart attacks in a study published in Nature Communications.
