The Pitt Success Pell Match Program will leverage the power of the U.S. Department of Education’s Pell Grant program by matching these federal funds, dollar for dollar, up to the cost of attendance for eligible students across all five of Pitt’s campuses.

An initiative of Chancellor Patrick Gallagher, the program will accommodate up to 150 seniors graduating in spring 2019. Those accepted will receive up to $5,000 toward their eligible student loan balance upon graduation.

Beginning in fall 2018, the top performing students from all Pittsburgh Public Schools will be guaranteed freshman admission to the University of Pittsburgh, along with scholarship support of at least $2,000 per year.
