New Dean for School of Social Work Announced

Elizabeth M.Z. Farmer, who is a professor and associate dean for research at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Social Work, will begin her deanship on Aug. 1.

Bernard J. Costello, professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery, has been named dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, effective April 1. Costello has been serving as interim dean since February 2018.

Amy J. Wildermuth, associate vice president for faculty and academic affairs at the University of Utah, has been named dean of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She will begin her deanship on July 1.
