Woman in Computer Science Conference: She Innovates

January 26, 2018 (All day) to January 28, 2018 (All day)

Woman in Computer Science Conference: She Innovates
Sponsored by the Women in Computer Science (WiCS), School of Computing and Information and Innovation Institute

This year, the Women in Computer Science (WiCS), School of Computing and Information, and Innovation Institute are delighted to bring you "She Innovates", Pitt’s only all-women hack-a-thon.

The event will be held in the School of Computing and Information (formerly Information Sciences Building) on Friday 1/26, 6pm to Sunday 1/28, noon SCI 3rd Floor.

The hack-a-thon is for all female students – undergraduates and graduates – in the Greater Pittsburgh area with or without a computer science background. All experience levels are encouraged to register. Come for a weekend filled with hacking, technical talks, mentorship, and fun!

If you are without a team or hacking experience, don’t stress! The She Innovates kick-off party will feature team formation, idea pitching, and a Q&A session for first-time hackers. You can also find a team ahead of time using Pitt’s TeamFinder. We will even have mentors on site to help guide you through the hacking process.
