More than 150 people from Pitt and Sodexo Campus Services, the University’s dining service, offer 2,500 meals to individuals and families in need at the annual Christmas Day at Pitt event. Pitt staff and faculty also donate holiday gifts for children and gift bags filled with cold weather essentials.

The City of Pittsburgh’s Climate Action Plan 3.0 lauds efforts made by Pitt’s Food Recovery Heroes. The student group collects surplus food from dining halls and local establishments to donate to organizations that feed the hungry.
