Seven nursing graduates from the region were recognized April 30 during the annual nursing pinning ceremony and commencement exercises at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville.

“It takes a very special person to be a nurse,” Pitt-Titusville’s president, Richard T. Esch, said during the ceremony. “Someone who not only has the knowledge and dedication but also possesses a deep well of compassion and empathy.

Two students completed the 15-week basic machining course offered by the Manufacturing Assistance Center at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville Education and Training Hub, which gave them a solid foundation of machining and will help them advance their careers.

Esch, a Pitt-Bradford alumnus, has been serving as interim president for the past year.

Prospective students and parents can meet with hub partners to discuss the wide array of programs available in 2022.
