The Office of Sponsored Programs invites assistant professors to participate in a workshop series designed for faculty interested in learning more about the NSF CAREER program. The series is structured as four, one-hour focused discussions intended to enhance proposal development.

The goal of the fund is to promote an increase in the quality and quantity of research discoveries that can be translated into commercial opportunities that impact people’s lives. Faculty who have submitted an invention disclosure to the Innovation Institute since January of 2019 are eligible to apply.

Anyone is welcome to submit workshop proposals for this year’s forum, themed Dismantling Oppressive Systems: Building Just Communities, by May 14.

A total of $555,000 in awards is available for projects that impact health. An additional award of up to $25,000 is available for solutions to health disparities.

Starting Tuesday, April 13, all Pennsylvanians ages 16 and older will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. Resources to help members of the Pitt community get vaccinated as soon as possible are available.
