There will be two staff and faculty blood drives at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum on Friday, Nov. 13, and Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Featured topics will include mentoring and advising in the midst of COVID-19, creating University-wide advisor support systems and leveraging technology to improve advising. Submit a proposal for a workshop or idea session. 

Proposals to support a variety of new programs, events, curricula, experiments, operational improvements, research, product development and other engagement-driven initiatives can be eligible for matching grants of up to $8,000.

From oral history projects to data analytics in high schools, Year of Engagement grant awardees will discuss their projects in two upcoming noon events on Nov. 12 and Nov. 16.

This Pitt Green Home Office Lunch & Learn will cover the importance and benefits of composting, along with how to set up composting at home, proper maintenance and how to use finished compost. 

The Center for Creativity is hosting a virtual panel discussion with creators who will share their experiences making Pittsburgh-inspired movies.

More than 25 Pitt faculty and staff will be celebrated at a virtual event on Friday, Nov. 6, for earning the Global Competence Certificate, one of the opportunities offered by Pitt’s Faculty and Staff Development Program. The celebration will close out this year’s annual International Week.
