The fifth annual Pitt Day of Giving will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23. Gifts from Pitt alumni, faculty, staff, friends and families will help Pitt schools, programs and student organizations rise to the top of the leaderboards and win challenge funds.

A new professional development series from the Office of Human Resources will provide self-coaching tips and creative ideas to help with the challenges and changes presented by the pandemic.

As part of the Governing in Crisis interview series, Pitt’s Institute of Politics and its Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law & Public Policy will host Committee of Seventy President and CEO David Thornburgh to discuss the recent presidential election.

A screening and discussion of Pitt film studies students’ “George Romero & Pittsburgh: The Early Years” will look at the horror director’s creative endeavors, connections to Pitt and his legacy as an artist

Join the Institute of Politics on Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. as David Thornburgh, President and CEO of The Committee of Seventy, discusses the issues surrounding an election that has been relentlessly attacked as fraudulent by some but that most have concluded was free and fair.

Mark your calendars: The Office of Human Resources announced that the spring holiday for staff will be May 7, 2021, and that staff will also partake in the March 24, 2021, Self-Care Day.

The initiative, now in its fourth year, provides up to $50,000 for faculty and staff member projects on all five Pitt campuses.
