AIDS Free Pittsburgh is uniting more than 20 local groups, including Pitt, to fight the epidemic. In 2015, nearly 3,000 people in Allegheny County were living with HIV.

A group from Pitt recently took a 2,300-mile journey through historical sites in the South called “Returning to the Roots of Civil Rights.”

Exploring 21st-century global partnership opportunities while renewing bonds that date to 1948, the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC traveled to Colombia in May for a weeklong visit.

Vice Provost for Research Mark Redfern says "this is not something for just sociology and social work; this is something for the entire University to come together,” citing disciplines including pharmacy, engineering and biomedical informatics.

Pitt Honors will also support special project proposals from students and staff.

The Renée and Richard Goldman Dean of the School of Education discusses how the activist's life could help them better understand the Black Lives Matter movement.

Pitt scored 95 out of 100 in the annual report on institutional support for LGBTQ+ student-athletes, coaches, administrators, staff and fans.

"Race, Justice, and Activism in Literacy Instruction" encourages educators to engage in justice-centered work.

The October summit drew school district leadership from across the commonwealth.

The undergraduates took the Bronze Award at the InnovateFPGA 2019 Global Contest Regional Final.
