Melissa Bilec will speak on a May 21 sustainability panel

Melissa Bilec, co-director of the University of Pittsburgh’s Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation, will speak at the May 21 GreenForce Women sustainability panel, held by Pittsburgh Earth Day and Duquesne Light Company. Bilec is also George M. and Eva M. Bevier Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering in Pitt’s Swanson School of Engineering.

At the panel, women who are part of shaping Pittsburgh’s sustainable future will discuss actionable ideas driving environmental progress and explore strategies to cultivate talent, foster innovative cultures and create opportunities that shape the future of sustainable infrastructure.

The panel starts at 5 p.m. at the K&L Gates Partners Center.
