Ray Engel, an associate professor in the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Southwestern Pennsylvania Partnership for Aging (SWPPA) at the organization’s award luncheon on May 15.

Engel serves as research director for Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh and oversees the Pittsburgh Wage Study along with Jeff Shook and Sara Goodkind. Along with his Pitt appointments, he is a distinguished faculty fellow at the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
