The academic media production team in the University of Pittsburgh Center for Teaching and Learning has received two 2025 Telly Awards for recent video projects.

The Telly Awards, or the Tellys, are a national recognition of excellence in video production. Judged by industry professionals, the competition receives around 13,000 entries globally each year. The Pitt team was honored alongside schools like the University of Oklahoma and Texas A&M as well as large companies and public figures, including Meryl Streep, the Rockefeller Foundation and General Mills.

A 40th anniversary retrospective on the Pitt Men’s Study, a trailblazing longitudinal study on HIV/AIDS led by Professor Charles Rinaldo, won silver in the non-broadcast/general advocacy and causes category. The video was created by Elizabeth Speed, senior manager of academic media production; media producer John Guinane; and motion graphics specialist Paula Zetter.
