This Pitt-Bradford partnership will make getting a chiropractic degree more affordable

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and Northeast College of Health Sciences have established a partnership to give students a faster, more affordable path to earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

The new 4+3 program lets eligible students earn both a bachelor’s degree from Pitt-Bradford and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Northeast in just seven years — one year faster than usual — and guarantees their admission to Northeast’s program. Students majoring in biology, chemistry, environmental science, exercise science or physical sciences are eligible, along with those pursuing a pre-professional program such as pre-chiropractic, pre-nutrition or pre-veterinary medicine.

With guided support from both institutions, students can avoid spending time and money on unnecessary coursework and begin their path to Northeast by submitting a letter of intent, signed by their undergraduate advisor.

“This new partnership gives our graduates a great regional option to keep learning and earn a doctoral degree,” said James Baldwin, Pitt-Bradford’s vice president for enrollment management. “Northeast has a strong history and is one of only 20 accredited chiropractic schools in the country.”

Northeast’s graduate and undergraduate academic programs in areas such as chiropractic, nutrition, human anatomy instruction, massage therapy and imaging sciences are rooted in its mission and commitment to academic excellence, leadership and professional best practices. The 286-acre main campus is in Seneca Falls, New York, and is 100% dedicated to health sciences.
