Prevention at Pitt graduated a new Survivor Support Network cohort

Room full of graduates with a sign that says "Prevention at Pitt" on the wall

The Office of Institutional Engagement and Wellbeing’s Prevention at Pitt team just graduated a new Survivor Support Network cohort. Each member of this growing community has participated in 6-10 hours of professional development focused on trauma-informed engagement, community resources and responding to disclosures.

Administered through Pitt’s Office for Sexual Violence Prevention and Education, the Survivor Support Network was developed to provide faculty, staff and graduate students with the knowledge and tools needed to best support survivors of sexual misconduct on campus. The program was revamped last summer and has graduated more than 75 members since then.

Survivor Support Network members serve as a resource to all survivors on campus and can be found in departments across the University. Here’s how you can become a member.
