8 Pitt people contributed to a recent exhibit at The Frick Pittsburgh

Eight Pitt people served as guest labelists for The Frick Art Museum’s recent exhibit, “Kara Walker: Harper’s Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated).”

The exhibit featured 15 large-scale prints of Walker’s work, all annotated by influencial Pittsburghers.

The Pitt contributors were:

  • Amanda Boston, assistant professor in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Africana Studies
  • Alonna Carter-Donaldson, visiting lecturer in the Dietrich School’s Gender, Sexuality and Women’s Studies Program
  • Jasmine Green (CGS ’18), director of education for 1Hood Media
  • Jim Griffin, director of equity and community engagement in the Dietrich School
  • Bryanna McDaniel, research operations manager for CONVERGE
  • Shaun Myers, assistant professor in the Dietrich School’s Department of English
  • Alaina E. Roberts, associate professor in the Dietrich School’s Department of History
  • Kirk Savage, William S. Dietrich II Professor in the Dietrich School’s Department of History of Art and Architecture
