The deadline to nominate an outstanding graduate faculty member is Oct. 10.

The event, which will feature a student panel and a colloquium with local community college leaders, aims to bolster support for transfer students at four-year institutions.

This year’s recipients will be honored at 3 p.m. March 26.

Shelome Gooden and David Sanchez will contribute to faculty mentoring and humanities research, respectively.

He’s hailed as a notable physicist and dedicated leader who drastically increased enrollment, advanced research and enriched student life during his 47-year career at the University.
